Ashley fell in love with an army soldier at 19. Nine years later they have two beautiful girls and one on the way. Their oldest, Lillie Grace, was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the age of two. They have been educating their selves and advocating for her ever since. No one should have to go through an autoimmune disorder alone. They adapt to change and push through till they see victory.

Aimee is the founder of Autoimmune Sisters; inspired by her mom to create a community for women with autoimmune diseases. She is a Christian that loves her family, modern farmhouse living, exquisite yet minimalist design and gluten free cooking. Currently living in Virginia with her husband, their 3 children and  2 Labrador Retrievers. Their days are full of travel soccer, updating their home for future renters and enjoying everything there is to see and do in Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.

Vennessa was diagnosed with Addison’s disease in 2007 and Hashimoto’s in 2017. Vennessa and her husband have three boys under age 5 and live in phoenix, AZ. She's learned to manage her diseases (in addition to the required medications) mainly through knowing her food intolerance, a gluten free and grain free diet, daily exercise and meditation.

Meredith, an avid whitewater kayaker and outdoor enthusiast, lives in the Washington, DC Metro area. She was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) in 2009, following a catastrophic pulmonary embolism. In 2019, she was diagnosed with thyroid issues (exact diagnosed unknown at this time). She works both in international development and is an integrative health coach focused on autoimmune management & nutrition, weight and stress management, and life/career transitions.
